HOW YOUR NDIS WORKS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a way of providing support for people who are living with a disability. It is a ‘whole life’ approach designed to provide support to help those in need, achieve their day to day goals. The NDIS pays for supports that are deemed to be necessary in assisting with your daily activities.Supports are related to a person’s disability and are required for them to live comfortably and assist them to achieve their goals. Delivered meals are covered under Core Supports & Assistance with Daily Activities.
If your plan covers the preparation and delivery of meals, the NDIS will cover the cost of the meal preparation and the delivery. The ingredient portion of the meal is what the participant is responsible to pay for.
